Tracer rounds serve a number of purposes in military roles. They allow shooters to view the area where their shots are traveling and they can also serve as a visible indicator that a magazine is running low on ammunition. But they can be equally useful for civilians too. Also, they are just plain fun when used safely! Piney Mountain Ammunition is proud to offer their Supernova tracer rounds which are available in either red or green. These tracer rounds light up right out of the barrel and put off a visible light at 100 yards or more. Visible in daylight or in the dark, Supernova tracers make excellent training tools which allow bullet trajectories, flight paths, and impact points to be seen easily. Because each round contains a pyrotechnic composition similar to that of a flare, tracer rounds can be dangerous if used improperly. Make sure to be aware of the conditions and exercise caution while using tracer ammunition.
Please Note:Â Tracer ammunition CAN and WILL start fires if not used safely. Use only in approved areas. Always know your target, your backstop, and what is beyond. Do not use in dry, windy conditions and always have a plan in place to stop a fire if one starts.
